Dear Devoted Readers,
Today, I would like to tell you a little bit about the most popular way to scam people online: Email Scams!
Millions of people around the world are getting tens and even hundreds of email spam every day. Spam, AKA Junk mail, is basically the same email sent to hundreds or even thousands of people in a click of a button which usually used for advertising purposes and scam purposes. The total number of spam messages sent in April 2008 reached over 100 Billion Emails a day, this is 100,000,000,000 spam emails sent every day.
This first sign to an email scam would be something to good to be true. like winning the lottery or offering you to get a free car or 1 million dollars. Here’s an example of a very popular scam email running around the internet for a while now:

Too good to be true, right ?! Wrong! Well, for some of us. A lot of people believed them and got totally scammed.
This email’s intention is to get personal information about the user, then maybe imposer as being him/her, steal his/hers identity or just send him more targeted advertisement to make him buy their products (which could even be a decent product) but their marketing plan is poor, dirty & scammy.
The best advice I could give you, would be, NEVER share your personal information online unless you absolutely sure you’re dealing with a real company. Some more tips about identifying scam sites can be found in the “How To Identify a Scam And Avoid Scams” post from a few days ago. Another useful site for reporting scams and reading about how others got scammed is www.Scam.com.
I Would also appreciate it very much if you could comment with the scams you run into so we could help one another to avoid them. Thank you for reading.
